Loopable Logo
I hadn't done personal work in a little bit, and I wanted to have fun with a shape animation. I'm also kind of obsessed with loopable gifs and I was inspired by Flamingosis to make something that felt more chill. The version with music is below if you want to check it out..
PORCUPINES
A friend of mine had written a script for a short film and one weekend we finally got a (rather solid) crew together and shot it. I was boom guy on set and also did the graphics for the titles in post. Check it out here:
We submitted to the Sarasota Film Festival and our film was chosen to be screened before the feature. It was super exciting to see it in a theater!
Here's some behind-the-scenes too:
I started collecting footage while riding around from a car (usually not while driving) and decided to cut what I had into this. It's not finished, but things are getting pretty busy and I got to have a little fun with it.
Retrogif
Really fascinated by neon and old school VHS tapes, I decided to make my website and intro in that style. I played around making some other vaporwave type images to experiment more with glitching and the color palette.
Cinema 4D gave me a weird render for the text "I've always been a perfume type of girl" from another project. So I decided to try and make it weirder, adding other elements to it until it got to this point. Once I thought I had the hang of the style, I applied it to another logo I drew.
From this and a couple other drafts, I decided to move on with the second composition here.
Cinemagraphs
Decided to start playing around with cinemagraphs because I hadn't touched my camera in so long. Here's what I came up with..
It started here as a test. We got my brother to be the model, shot it, and then put some design-y X's in the background. After a while we just started shooting things we were doing throughout the day.
